Megasquirt speed density to Alpha-N

Hello,

I'm using megasquirt with ITBs, and up to now i've been using speed density for fueling, its close but the map resolution just isnt wide enough to get a 'perfect' map.

I want to try Alpha-N, I'm using tuner studio, so I fired it up, set algorithm to pure alpha-n, then configured alpha-n->map table 0tps=0map, 100tps=100map.

I then adjusted the bins in the VE table, however it still appears to be using speed density.

I'm running microsquirt and firmware 2.8.

I think im missing something simple, but I can't for the life of me find it.

Any ideas?

file>open project> project properties> alphaN

or do you mean you have already done that??

Its strange, there is nothing in the settings tab for fueling algorithm, i'm using the newest version.

I'm going to try an older one to see if that has it.

it's in mines.

Open the programme and go to File then project then down to project properties then settings tab then drop down at fuelling algorithm then alphaN then ok it

Ok, so the problem seems to be that pure alpha-n acually means blended alpha-n

The setting from the project properties was intentionally removed.

Setting the switchpoint for using speed density to above 9000rpm solved the problem, and it seems to be working a bit better now.
