Throttle bodies with NO injector bosses?
interestedparty - 22/10/10 at 07:27 PM

Anyone know of a solution, I want to fit throttles to 45mm (approx) pipes, but I don't need the injectors which are in a different part of the 2 part manifold.

Anyone know of anything that might suit? I do need to link the throttles, so I expect I will end up with bike throttle bodies anyway, but I thought that rather than have to blank off injector bosses (I don't have a lathe for making plugs) it might be easier if I could find some that didn't have them.

Triumph speed four and tt600 dont have the injectors in the body.

Nice and neat but they wont be 45mm

I used chrome plated roofing bolts glued in with engineering adhesive and blanked the pocket inside the TB with liquid metal did a nice job and no lathe needed. Alternatively Flak Monkey makes blanks

There was a good link on the megasquirt site that gave the sizes of TBI's,

Here it is:

From my memory Kawasaki like their TBI's big.

Regarding filling the injectors, JB weld does the job almost perfectly. Insulating tape on the inside and then flood with JB weld. The stuff is amazing, and even matches the colour of the alloy (pretty much). This is what most people use to block the secondary butterfly, there is no point in doing anything more complicated to my mind.

The only problem is that only the early Suzuki TBI's can be respaced (possibly a generalisation).

Mine are GSXR 750 from a 2001 bike

Later ones are cast in pairs rather than individuals
