Hi all
i have a 1995 scorpio that I am going to use as a donor.I want to keep the injection system. Can I use the scorpio ecu and if so would you have any advice on removal and rewiring.
Thanks

Welcome to the forum. The engine can be used with the injection system, but the inlet manifold ideally needs to be modified or will poke through the bonnet.

I know the ecu and loom can be separated out but I don't know the details I'm afraid.

I don't know the engine at all, but can you use the injection system? Will it fit under the bonnet of a Locost?

Only asking as I know the Pinto one won't!

Cheers,
James

Thanks for the replies.
IF it will not fit the only other option is carbs. This is an expensive option as an ecu must also be purchased and inlet manifold which I am hoping to avoid

I just checked the engine and the injection systen is lower than the top of the engine .So if I can get the engine in hopfully I can keep the injection.
Th ewiring is my weak spot though...

Also thanks for the welcome

Must be different to the Sierra DOHC EFI then. Well, you will certainly be able to get the engine in, so go for it.

I think i know the one your are on about. Is it the one that sweeps up from the head?
The one on my scorpio goes straight out .Hopfully width is not an issue...

Well, if you've got the book you will be able to work out how much width you will have.

Yeah working from the book.
But will have to wait until I make a decision on the ecu
