How and where to plumb in fuel pressure regulator?
adrianreeve - 19/3/11 at 03:20 PM

Hi there,

The Jenveys and manifold I have bought don't have a take-off for vacuum for the fuel pressure regulator. Do I just need to drill and tap the manifold, and if so, where is best? Or can I get away without connecting vacuum port, and just have a constant fuel pressure?

Cheers

Adrian

Vacuum connection to fuel regulator just reduces pressure at tick over for better injection control but can't see it being an issue to map with constant pressure unless injector are bit to big

Didn't bother with a vacuum connection on mine , as said mapping should sort it out

Sure.. but doesn't effective mapping require significant time an a 'decent' dyno, the fitting of a wideband lambda and an egt device.
Seems to me to be way easier to say than do.

It's going to be mapped anyway, so no problem
