Throttle Pedal Position?

My recent RR session has thrown up a few problems.. heres one..

In order to fully open the TB's I need to set the pedal quite high. Previously I messed about with the height where the cable attaches as I don't want a quick action job!

So now I is thinking of a re-design and I would quite like to delete it off the top...

Anyone got a successful floor mounted design that isn't 2" in front of the brake pedal? Pictures please...

Arrange the cable to wrap round a quadrant as the pedal is pressed, this will allow you to make the first quarter of pedal movement less sensitive but pull the cable more as full throttle is approached.

Remember you want the pedals to open throttles 99% not 100% or more as that is a quick way to break throttle cables or damage the carb spindles.

Aye, I am a bit worried about the full open stop... can you explain how the quadrant works? Some pictures for a thick (lazy) engineer like me
