Zetec Spark Table
prelude1980 - 28/5/11 at 04:55 PM

Any body care to have a nose at my spark table

I'm running MS2 V3 on TPS
It's a 2 litre blacktop zetec running GSXR 600 Throttlebodies and the rest is standard.

I would like some for of confirmation that what i'm running is not miles out anywhere

Hi, your 95% spot on!
A zetec requires 28deg of timing all in by 4000RPM, so you need abit more timing at 90-100KPA after 4000RPM to redline.

Upto 32deg will not do harm but you should always use the minimum amount of timing to get the power, no more.

Stock zetecs make much more power on 97RON, so i would recommend you use good fuel all the time. (you'll get better fuel economy as well)

You should see 160-180BHP on a 2.0L with a good exhaust system (on 45mm throttles), make sure you see 12.5AFR at full throttle, zetec's do not like running lean at full load. (13-14.7AFR is fine at light load)

Not sure what size the bike bodies are, plus you need fairly big injectors, i use 370cc/min

Looks fairly reasonable to me. Only change I would suggest is to have only 5 degrees of advance for 0. 5. 10. load at 1000rpm. Makes it easier to start.
My map shows 30degrees at 100 load 4000rpm so agree with the above.

That's good then it's not a million miles away. I've got 38mm throttlebodies using standard mondeo injectors, 260cc/min i think.

My tune still seems lumpy around 2000rpm ish but, i'll try the above a see what happens when i tweak the fuel to suit

I'll let you know the out come
