Hi all,i have a quick qestion for those who have fitted fuel injection.
My new fuel pump has a 16mm inlet but my fuel lines are 8mm.
Has anyone come across this problem and how have you connected
your 8mm line to the 16mm pump?
Thanks in advance,
Andy
I had same problem, I went into GBS and they had a reducer made of ali, and the I used that with a small length of 16mm hose from pump into reducer
then 8mm out of that. clicky for the reducer type thing
I think they also do other sizes.
Hope that helps..
Andy
Why not run a 16mm short line from your tank to the pump, and 8mm from the pump to the injection system?
My problem is,the outlet on my tank is 8mm.I also want to
fit a pre filter with 8mm tails, the gbs reducer sounds just
the ticket. Thanks for the help lads.

Thanks dale,
That explains why ithought i had a problem. My tank is coming out anyway to
mount the pump on the front at the bottom.
I will replace the 8mm outlet with one of the correct size.I have just looked in the
pump inlet and noticed the filter as well

i had the same problem when i did my car. the way i got round it was rather than modify the tank i fitted a swirl pot.
i went 8mm from the tank to a small low pressure pump 8mm out of that pump into the swirl pot. the swirl pot has a 16mm outlet at the bottom that
then directly feeds the high pressure pump at 16mm.
got my swirl pot made by a chap on ebay called rjsalufab2010 he hasn't got anything listed at the moment but its worth a message as i recall him
being pretty cheap and the swirl pot he made me was very good quality.
Hi Ash,
I did consider this but i already have a sump in my tank and am going
to remove the tank to fit the pump.
It will be a simple job (and much cheaper) to weld on a new outlet of the correct size.
