Evening all,
Been doing some research on here to figure out where the various vacuum pipes on my throttle bodies fit. As in title, they are GSXR 600 TB's, and
are going on a 2.0L Zetec black top via an ST 170 manifold, using Megasquirt (V3 board and MS I processor).
Firstly, there are 4 vacuum pipes - one from each TB that join into 1. I gather these connect to the vacuum tube back to the MS. Is that correct?
Secondly, on the 3rd TB from the left there is one pipe on it's own. Where does that go to?
Thirdly, there is a vacuum pipe from the bottom of the fuel pressure regulator. Am I right in thinking that I can just leave this disconnected?
Thanks in advance for any assistance,
Cheers,
Martin.
I was going to ask the same question, ive got gsxr600's on a silvertop.
Lets see what the collective say ??
the pipes all tied together goto the MS
the random pipe on cyl 2 can be blanked
(i used these: NISSAN SUNNY PULSAR GTI-R INTAKE MANIFOLD VACUUM PORT BLANK OFF CAPS BUNG PLUG | eBay
the reg vac connector is left open
EDIT: Link update

Agreed. Gotta love the collective!

Spot on
I picked up some 4mm blue vacuum pipe for £2.34 from here:
Silicone Vacuum ASH Hose Pipe - Silicon Water Air Coolant Dump Valve Radiator | eBay
I was going to bung with one of these:
SILICONE HOSE INTAKE VACUUM STOP END CAP BUNG PLUG 4mm x 4 *BLUE* | eBay
Also be aware that you'll need some restricters in the vac lines, otherwise you'll end up with a very noisy signal which will give you all
sorts of issues with ms (random ae triggering, etc).
From memory I think I used a 0.6 mig tip pushed into each of the four vac lines, (I may have also fitted one into the single line to ms) but it will
vary with individual installs. It is possible to overdo it though, which will over damp and slow the map signal, this too can cause problems.
Best bet is to monitor the map signal when you have it running and fiddle until you get it reasonably clean without undue lag.......
Geoff.

PS TPS sensor wiring should be as per my photo archive
Gsxr750 TPS; A=+5v ; B=Signal ; C=GND
Gsxr750 TPS; A=+5v ; B=Signal ; C=GND
Sorry, haven't checked in for a few days. Thanks for the recent replies.
