Hi Merry Christmas all

Just wondering if it's ok to place a relay board close to an edis coil.

cheers

Assuming its just the Relay board.
Unless its actually touching (very close field effects etc), I cannot see a problem.
Relays are just a magnetically operated switch, nothing more complex.

Do not put the Main MS unit in the engine bay. I would put it under the scuttle high up.
Somewhere where it wont get huge changes of temperature (eg engine bay).
Somewhere where it wont get wet or damp. (corrodes terminals and connections / chip pins etc)

Once you have it all running, its worth spraying the Main PCB (both sides and NOT the connectors / plugs) with some PCB laquer to stop corrosion and any future problems.

Hope that helps.

Merry Crimble...

Thanks
The intention is to use a Microsquirt ecu which is weather proof anyway but space is at a premium so it's a case of squishing stuff in where it will be accessible . Don't like the thought of an exposed PCB so will try to cover in the relay board as best I can once everything is up and running .

Thanks and a happy New Year
