Morning
My engine came with a billet fuel rail, however I thought my Pico injectors would fit it but they dont. Not sure what was in there beforehand - Scootz
?
The Blackbird injector seats appear to have a conical shaped seat, totally different to the Picos - Do Blackbird injectors have a queer shape rubber
seal on the base , and will they fit a Pico ? Looking at my BB manual they are a totally different shape. Any suggestions where to buy a set ? theres
nil on ebay, and google isnt finding anything.
The top seal of the Pico measures, 14.3mm and the Pico shoulder is 13mm - rail is 10.5mm... it has a slight chamfer, will this have to replicated for
the Pico? which is a different design of shoulder. Or will a 13mm reamer resolve this ?
The seal on the Blackbird injectors isn't particularly "queer", it looks like a square section O-ring. However, the injector nozzle
projects downwards quite a long way from the seal area.
They have a pintle where as mine are flat. I am beginning to think the Picos wont work in the Blackbird head, as they will not protrude down into the
pots like the originals.
S2000 ones are similar, back to the drawing board I think...
Suggestions for alternatives, Ive found RC 440cc ones but they are very expensive. Get retro fitted to Busas and BB engines.
Errrr bump - still after some alternative injectors solutions for the Blackbird please ?
Hey Ivo
For some reason or t'other I seem to have it in my head that we got the original injectors back from Stewarts build???
Obviously not.
I'll see if he still has them (unlikely mind )

Was just thinking I'd not got back to your message. Will have a look at my diary tonight and see what we can sort out.
Just wandering why you need to change the injectors? are you planning forced induction?
Avoid Peco injectors, these are known to fail (stick closed) these injectors are fitted to pug 106 and others as standard - a known problem with an
intermittent miss on a 106 is the injectors.
Stick to Bosch - we use gen3 (0280155)
If you are planning forced induction (or high power NA) your better to plug up the original injector holds and run the injectors outboard, we have
proven this to give more power on a Hayabusa so i expect the same will apply to your engine.

Engine runs a direct drive Rotrex C36 84, so yes it's good for decent bhp. I've found RC 440cc injectors which are drop replacements for
the busa & bob engine, but they are around £220..
The engine has a custom plenum, but if this hasn't had Picos previously, it doesn't appear so, then maybe it used honda s2000 ones on the
original seats
Avoiding induction fabrication is my preference, anything over 250bhp will be more than adequate, 300 + is a bonus.
Waiting to hear back about what injectors the engine ran previously. Keep you posted, and thank you .
Bump - recommend me a set of injectors, that will drop into the Blackbird throttle body, and flow about 400cc+
S2000 ones are like rocking horse shat, trying to avoid the £240 injectors from California if I can...
