My replacement pump has a 8mm output pipe, whereas the original was a rubber 'female' seal which pushed over the steel pipe that's
connected to the tank mounting plate (if that makes any sense!).
I am able to overcome this by joining the output pipe to the steel pipe using a short length of fuel hose.
So my question, is it OK to use fuel hose, and connectors inside the tank?
I believe it should be OK, but confirmation would be reassuring.
Many thanks
Danny
You need pucka in tank fuel hose, normal stuff drops to bits very quickly!
Thanks Coozer, although not the answer I wanted!
In tank hose available in 1m lenghts, no doubt!
Danny
proper stuff is expensive though
lined inside and outside
I only need 2"
As a temporary measure, how long would ordinary fuel hose last?
Not long, it falls to pieces..
Are you going to Stoneleigh?
No, I can not make it this year.
I have just seen that Merlin motorsport sell it. I need some other bits as well, so will probably pop over.
Thanks for the advice.
Danny
