I piped up the injection system last weekend, and ran the pump to set the pressure reg.
Ive just noticed the hoses have gone quite soft, they are r30 j9
Im guessing they are scrap now, to prevent it happening again, I was looking at fuel stabilizers, do they work has anyone any experience or
recommended brands?
Cheers.
Pete.

Had this on my car and the outside started to fracture and go soft when the fuel pressure increased I could see the hose changing shape. Have now removed from all our cars and replaced with a newer product
What spec did you replace them with? I thought j30 r9 was the latest spec.

What was the source of teh hoses? I had a whisper that some stuff badged up as r9 possibly isn't. Which is really handy.....
Try to get branded hoses, Goodyear/codan/gates etc
I'd suspect you got some fake/counterfeit hose. We're coming across more and more fake parts that customers.ers have bought via the net.
Have you read this thread...

I guess it must be fake, I'm sure I got it from CBS, but looking at their site I doubt it now.
Its all new, never been used before.....
Yes I read David's research, hence the R9, the local factors only have R7..
Just ordered a couple of metres of this hose from CBS, and will keep
the proof of purchase this time....
