Hi Guy's,
Looking for some help! I am currently building my Luego Viento and i am installing a 2 litre blacktop zetec. I want to run the standard injection
just now to get through the iva and will upgrade once more funds are available. I want to know what i need for the fuel from the tank to engine?
pumps, filter, swirl pot etc?
Also what sort of pressure will i need to run this but also for future upgrades. I have run the two pipes from the tank area through to the engine bay
and i am now need to order the rest of the equipment needed. Any help will be much appreciated as all new to this. Will hopefully get some pics up to
show progress soon.
Thanks Mike

To start with just a filter and a high pressure injection fuel pump. Pressure is regulated by the regulator on the fuel rail and will be around 3 bar.
For road use on a stock engine then I would keep it simple. I used a bosch external (to tank) fuel pump from an Astra 2.0 GTE (also on cavalier and
calibre). if you can find one from a scrapper (good luck) these were mounted with the filter in the rear wheel arch on a nice mounting plate on
vibration mounts. Remember to put a filter between the pump and the tank to stop any crud being drawn into the pump and put the pump lower down.
Something like this - NOVA CORSA ASTRA MANTA GTE SRI CAVALIER GSI TURBO SYTEC REPLACEMENT FUEL PUMP GB
So, the route is back end of car [tank > filter > pump] long pipe to engine bay [fuel rail > through integrated regulator] long pipe to rear
of car [tank]
I expect many will have different views about using swirl pots and low pressure riser pump but for a start keep it simple and then upgrade when you
know what you want to do.

As above, pre filter, general purpose hp pump, post filter. That would be fine for road use with plenty of fuel in the tank at all times. For fast road and track work upgrade.
Thanks Guy's, Sounds good to me . Are you better to get a tank with baffles? or would it make no difference without a swirl pot?
If you havnt got a tank then get one with a sump and baffles and you may not need to upgrade any further.
