Hi Folks,
I bought a Facet red top and a filter king to put on my Indy Pinto, but have now decided to change from the Weber to a set of zx9r carbs.
Trouble is, I've now found(from research on here) that I should have a bike pump rather than the facet
So, duly bought a Zx9r pump from the Bay of Eees, and it appears to have a filter in one of the hoses attached.
So, my question is, is the filter in the carbs side line, or the tank side line?
On the carb side on my ones I also put an inline filter after the tank as well
Thanks Ian
Did you put some kind of return in as well?
no need for a return pipe the pump will shut down once it reaches pressure
Thanks Chris
No fuel return needed.
Thanks again Ian
I put mine on the tank side, it had arrows embossed on the pump. It would make sense to protect the pump.

And as Ian says, a filter before the carbs.

Thanks 40
A lot of the research I did on here came up with your pictures, and I'd pretty much decided to to copy you
Mine has an inline filter in the engine bay already, so I'll just hook the pump up to the lines near the tank like yours(have to get a new tank
anyway), and, hopefully, Robert's your mother's brother
It is a good idea to mount the pump low so it is gravity fed from the tank.
Bike fuel pumps should be near the carbs that's the way I fitted it in my striker never had any issues .

I stand corrected then !! At the time I fitted it I was told they where puller pumps rather than pushers !i had the car 3 years and never had an issue
.

I'm very much in the camp of if it works leave it
I had mine like that and it worked fine for a good while but when I had issues all the advice I got on here was put it under the tank. It's been
like that for years and never had the same issues [the pump not stopping].
You are probably more competent than me at doing up pipe clips.
