Wideband Lambda Controllers
birdii - 17/10/17 at 12:02 PM

I'm looking at buying a new lambda kit and i think with my budget (sub £200) i'm looking at the following:

Techedge J2J

Spartan 2

PLX Gen 4

Any good or bad experiences with any of these? I've ignored innovate as i seem to read more bad than good about that brand. Any others worth considering?

Thanks
Dan

To be honest I've not had any problems with the Innovate products, but I also don't have experience across the other's to provide even judgement. Almost all the problems I've seen with the LC-1 was down to people not following (understanding maybe) the installation requirements.

Ive been thinking about the AEM offering as they seem pretty good and do an in-line controller to talk to my dash and Ecu

Ive used the Spartan in the E Type, and now the RV8 944, both with MS2 no problems at all.

I have a 14Point7 Wideband Lambda kit with gauge etc...

Works well and can 'talk' to Megasquirt - which is why I chose it.

Can be easily had for your budget.

This is Spartan I think? Like Pete I have used a Spartan with MS2 without a problem. Although the local
rolling road uses AEM.

My Innovate LC-2 seems to be spit on, It’s fairly straight forward to set up and has different configurations and outputs.

I'm using a LDPerformance one, works spot on with MS.
Nothing adjustable on it though, just a basic controller with 5v output for ECU and output for gauge.
Uses the latest Bosch sensor:

Another recommendation for Spartan. I got mine from Phil at Extra Efi.

Thanks for all of your input!
I've decided to go with the spartan as they seem to be universally liked wherever you read about the subject.

The LD offering is interesting at such a low price but they seem quite new to market and not much talk of them around the net so decided spartan was a safer choice.

Cheers
