I have been looking for a cat for my Zetec install and I have managed to do a deal with a local supplier for a group buy on Catalytic convertors.
They are approx 150mm long by 150mm dia. Conical ended pollished stainless. with 2" inlet and 2" outlet stainless spigot pipes.
I have yet to go and see these in person and am at present just going on a telephone description.
I have negotiated what I believe to be a very good price on these of £125 + vat. To get this price I need to buy 10 units.
Anyone interested?

I believe they are similar to the top picture on THIS site. Except these are £253......

The web site says available to United States only so it might be a no go unless someone has a relative/friend in the States who will buy and ship to UK.

most people change their minds if you are prepared to buy more than one so if we can sort out a group buy then they might say yes.

I think we need to be a little cautious here!!!
I've been doing a bit of digging around on the yankee sites and a lot of what is being sold as CATALYTIC CONVERTORS are nothing more that "STRAIGHT THROUGH" pipes. Remember the trading laws in the States are NOT the same as in the UK. lookHERE for example!!!
He gets around it by using a not very clever play on words.

well i have a friend in the US that could send it to me, ill ask the question if it includes the actual CAT.
The picture shows one fitted but the desctiption says its a universal converter.

You can rent a US shipping address and get items sent there. Then the courier ships it to Blighty.
Never done it though so dont know.

Well I've read it and it says it's a high flow catalytic converter with O2 bung (lambda sensor hole) and shipping costs to UK not specified. The picture clearly shows the cat ceramic element. The weight might attract Customs to have a look in the package but otherwise it could be a cheap buy.
