Ok.
where do I start?

Yesterday I tried to start my Zetec/Megasquirt with EDIS setup.
To cut a long story short, it didn't!
The plugs spark and the injectors fire.
When you try to start with closed throttle plate, absolutely nothing happens.
If I open the throttle then I get an "explosion" and a foot of flame out of the throttle body. (very pretty but scarey)
My first thoughts were that the valve timing was wrong but I have checked this and all seems OK. I then thought maybe the "lost tooth" on the crank pos sensor was not 90 degrees before TDC. It is.
Anyone got any thoughts?
Fuel is obviously there, by the backfire in the inlet. and the same goes for spark.
What I need to do is find out when No. 1 plug is actually firing. (it should be 10 Deg BTDC) but without the engine running how can I check this.
My suspicion is that I have got a parameter in the Megasquirt basic setup wrong but without someone else who is running a similar set up I'm struggling to find it.
My guess is that I'm firing the ignition too early (while the inlet valves are still open) hence the flame in the inlet. Opinions please.
I'm running MSII V3 hardware with single throttle body and port injection with EDIS interface for ignition. If any one is running similar, a copy of your setup file would be appreciated.
Any help or thoughts will be very gratefully received.

Obvious one I'm sure you've already checked....leads on the correct spark plugs??

Thanks Mick
Funny you should say that.
Although I have checked the plug leads, I just thought that I would go and check the coil drivers fron the EDIS module in case I had "crossed" these.
