Megajolt CVH with sized photos
Mansfield - 10/3/06 at 06:55 PM

I have a 1.6 CFi CVH engine that I recently aquired for next to nothing, an intend using it for my Locost.

I have been playing email tennis with Bill Shurvinton about using a Megajolt and how it would integrate with the current Ford setup. Bill's communication is faultless and quick. Its almost like he is sitting waiting for my next stupid email.

Seems I can use my existing coil pack/edis4/VR sensor AND the 'teeth' (see photo) cast into the back of my flywheel to feed the Megajolt.

Cost wise - £20 board & CPU, £100 Fully built and tested in a housing and £80 kit 'n' case unbuilt.

I have seen £35 as a cost of Megajolt on this forum and a website showing Avon + Pinto installation. Can I build one for £35 and where would I get the necessaries?

Thanks, David. Rescued attachment P3080131a.jpg

No chance can you buid one for that money.

£100 is not a bad deal if it incluedes map sensor.

The problem is with minimum quantity ordering of some parts.

I priced it and found it cheaper to buy one ready made. imho

Quotes from emails

The board and CPU are £20 A fully built V3 cased and tested is £100

and

Everything you need for TPS based system, including case is £80

Unqotes from emails.

Dont think it includes the MAP sensor.

I have supplied fully built V3 units for £75 set up for TPS and fitted in an alloy case complete with set up software and connector plug.Unfortunately I am waiting for PCBs which i orderd from a UK supplier as they were out of stock in states and was then told he is out of stock also. I presently have a number of people waiting for me to build them units but
when I eventually get them i will be able to supply for a similiar price but dont know when it will be at present.
Paul.
