Intake tuning

Can anyone recommend a good book, web site, or other reference dealing with intake tuning. I'm considering an ITB setup on a blue top 4AGE, and want to understand the influence of plenum length/diameter etc.

You say ITB and Plenum, so are you going for a single butterfly or four?

If you are interested in inlet lengths, the Jenvey site has some values, won't give you the theory though, but they should know their stuff.

It looks like there will be a new edition of Graham Bell's book due out in September. I'll check my local library for a current edition.

The club4age site seem big on an ITB adaptor by TechnoToyTuning. It looks pretty reasonable at $250 US, but it wasn't clear to me when talking to the owner of T3 that he had done anything more than make the length to fit. The second edition angles up a bit, which may help to clear steering gear for LH steering vehicles.

From my post above you may guess I would like to use a set of four ITBs. I have two sets; one from the 4AGE silvertop (47 mm diameter), and a set from the blacktop (50 mm).

The T3 adaptor is made to fit the smaller diameter. They told me it was only a small job to clean up to mate to the larger size. I'm a bit concerned with throttle control with the larger size.

Any suggestions?

Ahhh, sorry, I saw plenum, my crowd would call that a box upstream of the butterflies an air box.

As far as advice, not too much of a help, I'm going to have a look at the jenvey site, and then see if I can fit it all in without getting expensive. (gsxr 600 tbs, custom manifold, some trumpets, lots of tube and many jubilee clips.)
