Gixxer TB Springs

Any tips on making the TBs close quicker and more tightly? Guessing I'll need to stiffen or add springs....just wondered if anyone had tackled this problem already

My bike carbs have provision for two cables, one to pull open and one to shut them off, as well as the springs.

If the Gixxer T/B's are the same could you not attach a bike brake cable to the return side with a big spring fixed to the chassis?

If the TB's aren't closing fully that's nearly always a sign that something is binding e.g. bent spindle or sticky bearing.

They do close but it's sometimes a little "sticky" and takes a second or two to close itself.

Also gonna relube the spindles on them and see if it helps

It wasn't doing this last year and I haven't changed anything since.

OK..Tracked the problem down to sticky Throttle Cable.

Removed, relubed and put back together.

All sorted.
