Okay so I have read the book, nearly finished the chassis, got most of the other bits I need but the fuel tank is posing a problem for me. Does anyone have a drawing/plans or web link for a fuel tank for an EFI engine as I am lead to believe they need to be different from carb tanks. Any help welcomed.
The only differance is that you either need a built in swirl pot or an external one and a fuel return tube as well.
A built in swirl pot is best as this then does away with the need for a low pressure pump supplying the external pot.
You will still need either an internal (usually built into the internal swirl pot) or an external high pressure pump.
Apart from that just a standard tank with fuel filler, feed and breather holes

Okay, thanks for that. But now for another question, why do swirl pots have 2 in and 2 out? What about the cheaper versions 1 in and 1 out?
With an external swirl pot it will have:
Low pressure feed from the tank
Feed from the pot to the high pressure pump
Return from the fuel rail to the pot
Return from the pot to the tank to take excess fuel/air/vapour
Thanks, just about clears that up then.
