Planning on buying a MS kit from the states as i can get it shipped to my mate who lives out there, then he can bring it home next time he comes
back.
Been looking on glensgarage.com at the complete kits. Is there much difference between the MS I v2.2 and v3.0? And how about MS II?
I'm looking to use it on a 2.0 XE with bike throttle bodies. Nothing too complicated just something to get it going and so I can tweak it once
its all up and running.
Edit: Is it essential to have the MS stimulator, or is it essential for testing it?
Cheers

I got my kit from Glen, and although he had quite a waiting list back then I was very impressed with both the service and the kit itself, very well
packaged and organised. I understand that a few of the other sellers are supplied by Glen anyway so they're much of a muchness these days. As for
which version to go for, i'd have to agree with the MS1 v3 board. Until MS2-Extra has time to settle MS1 still beats MS2 for features, and the
support is more available due to the much bigger userbase. MS1-Extra does everything you'll need, and it works without you being the guinea pig
tester.
Writing this has just made me realise that my current plan is to do exactly the opposite of the advice i've just said. I've got my ageing
and much modded trusty v2.2 (this will be the fourth engine it's been on now, it outlives all my cars ) and was thinking about experimenting
with MS2 for this install. If I was starting again then i'd go for the v3 board for certain though.
DIY Autotune have supplied me with excellent kits. You'll save a packet by buying it in the US and getting it brought over.
I bought my V3 through DIY Autotune and thoroughly recommend them. The owner is extremely helpful, and if you buy it in kit form all components are
neatly labeled up in their own little bags meaning it's a cinch to build.
Watch out for import tax though, my MS worked out a bit more expensive than I was hoping for, but still quite reasonably priced.
