I tuned my 1.8 Zetec and Megasquirt map up just by using a narrowband and megalog viewer. It felt quick, but perhaps not quick enough. This was
confirmed when I went on a rolling road power run, and the Zetec only produced 106bhp, and seemed to be running lean at top end. The engine has got
two litre cams and jenveys so it should be 130bhp+
I decided to get an LC1 Wideband which I fitted this week. What I'm after is advice on setting the AFR targets. This is what I've got, does
it sound ok?
Between 15 - 70kpa = 16.0
80 - 15.0
90 - 14.5
100 - 13.5
What have you all got?

I'd go a fair bit richer around idle, mine tends to hunt if it's too lean at idle and driving at low speed will kangaroo a bit. I also tend
to richen it up a wee bit at higher rpm instead of having a flat value across the whole rpm range, might not be necessary but I get a bit nervous
about it being too lean at high rpm.
What MAP do you see at idle? I can't see it being much below 60kPa with the jenveys, do you really need bins all the way down to 15kPa?

Idle is around 65kpa. Just looked at the last log and I've not had lower than 30kpam so I could really lose the lower bins.
I've only done one run with those settings and I did notice a bit of hesitation and then a bit of a jolt when it hits 2500.
I think I'll re-do it, and lose the bottom few bins, enrichen it a bit, and also smooth out the bins so there aren't so many big jumps
between the MAP bins.
