MK with 2.0L Zetec & GSXR TB's

Advise needed.

Im speaking to Bogg Bros regards
getting a manifold made to suit above.

They have asked for dims between Head and chassis so thay can make the manifold. My engine isnt in the car so
it would be all estimation and I dont want to make a b*lls.

Anybody out there with this set up that can help?

Cheers

Steve

Sorry can't help you out with your question cos I haven't got my kit yet but I'm planning on going the same route enginewise (once I've SVA'd it with the pinto). What size TB's are you using?. Will 750's work on a 2.0L zetec or will they restrict it compared to 1000's. Any info / links would be greatly appreciated.

GSXR750 bodies are the same size as the GSXR1000 (both about 46mm at the inlet tapering down to 42mm at the throttle butterfly), plenty big enough for a 2.0 zetec

When I was at MK last year they had a chassis with a Zetec in it, Perhaps ask them.

A "short" DCOE manifold as fitted to my Fury is (IIRC) 85mm..

Steve @ Bogg Bros had mentioned going for the GSXR 1000 TB's as they would allow for future development of the engine.

He wanted to know about distance and angle up so the air filter cleared the chassis etc. The things i dont know.

He had mentioned splitting the bodies to allow for the manifold to be
straighter giving better flow.
At the minute im leaving them attached in the standard Suzuki format.

Will try MK...cheers.

They are really easy to split and reposition to match port spacings. This will give you better power and will look nicer. All you need is some small threaded rod (very long) and some 10mm HP hose to extend the fuel rail.
Then just add some metal tabs to extend the throttle linkages as this is better than bending tabs.
I am doing this on my GSXR750 TB's and it seems very straightforward.

Thanks..all info welcome.
MK hopefully can get me some info regards the space available for the manifold. Some local guy has a zetec powered MK.
