Does anyone know how to balance zx9 carb's, i have a slight missfire on tickover ,or gentle revs, also , how do i know which carb to set, as its only one of the carb's that shuts off.

I used a combo of Colortune and carbtune (both Gunsons). Worked well for me

Hi Ray.
No , it's sorn at the moment, is it an easy job, the engine was Tim's and i think Graham balanced them last time.

Easy job but you need a carb balancer.

It will be an imbalance on the tickover settings for each carb. All you need is a facility to balance the airflow at tickover some use a piece of rubber tube and listen for flow but the best way is to source/borrow a carb balancer and set them correctly.

I will have the same issue shortly with my TB's so will be looking for a balancer.

Use the same carb balancer that has been used with SUs for years. I use a UNI-SYN, its not sophisicated but works for all types of applications.
