Down the breakers, largest car you can find and pinch the wires feeding the rear lights, fuel tank etc.

Range rovers are very good as the wires go across roof.

I got the wiring kit from ebay, had about 30 reels for £25 and they are all differant colours!

Buy one colour and use cable numbers to identify each core. Tis what I did, done for the entire loom, makes wiring diagram easier to read as-well.

Small cable No.s for 0.75 and 0.5mm cable can be got from RS

Cheers

ive got hundereds of cable numbers as above from R.S lying about, i dig them out for you if you want??

Make sure you get the full wrap around ones otherwise they fall off and you'll be buggered then!!

And then wish you hadn't done this when you have to trace a fault mid-loom in a couple of years time. Single colour looms are the bane of auto-electricians, m'kay?

Does nay bother me, used to working with big control panels, if you keep the looms tidy it's fairly straight forward.

But I see thee point.
