Coil Packs and surrounding heat.

Got to the point where I want to mount the coil packs (2 of). In the picture is a proposed location for one of them. Is this too close to the exhaust do you reckon, an alternative would be on the side of each rocker cover.

Cheers

Personally I would try to get them as far away from the manifold as possible.

Would the alternative no put them above the manifold and be even worse. How about getting them near the end of the rocker cover on a plate/bracket.

concur with as far from headers as poss, just don't want to make HT leads too long.

Don't some cars have these mounted ontop of the engine??

If that is meant for me, no. I have attached a piccy and you can see the coil pack just in front of the battery.
