NEED I SAY MORE
glad to be back in glasgow
? ?
was it a mistake or is that how much its meant to be?! I was shocked when i saw a 108 the other day.
You can still get it for 99.9p round here but you'd better be bloody quick!
thats in Gants Hill, saw it one day and thought, nah, likely to get bollocked if put on company card! Its cos its high octane, obviously.

I think the keyword here is "102 RON" - I doubt you can get that for 99.9p anywhere!
Why anyone would pay such a ridiculous premium just for 3 more octane points is beyond me. Unless maybe they were driving some kind of exotic race car
that would only run on it.
The BP 102 stuff has been about £2.50 a litre since it was first sold (over a year ago iirc)
The garage at the top of my road sells it and you need to get a code from the cashier before you can fill up with it. Its marketed as ultra high
performance fuel and is priced as such (way above normal super unleaded).
In my experiance, it seems to be bought by people with more money than sense and people who run turbo nutter cars.
Surely at that price it must be cheaper to use octane booster additive every time you fill up
That's all well and good, but after opting not to fill up on the M4 @ £108.9 I had to get diesel yesterday from a Texaco filling station in the
Welsh valleys @ £110.9
I put 5 litres in and then found an Asda superstore less than a mile down the road selling @ £104.9 so filled up there.
I don't know if anyone would agree, but I'm sure a lot of people are driving slower to get better economy out their vehicles. Average M/way
speeds seem to have slowed considerably - might be my imagination though!
