Hi guys
I have busa loom apart here and and trying to sort it for car use and I have a few questions.
1. Why dothey use a diode switch on the side stand and how do I wire it out.
2. Why are there three wires on the tilt sensor and again how do I wire that out?
3 What else will I need to know as I get a bit further in..
Thanks
Jason
The diode is there to provide the "OR" function, as in...
Start the engine if the gearbox is in neutral OR the clutch is in and the side stand is on.
You will need a resistor in the circuit where the ignition barrel is...anti theft device - stops it being hotwired. 100K ohms i think...
You can simply join the Side Stand wires together, that way the "stand" will always be "up" and therefore you can start the Car in
gear!
As Rich says you will need the resistor in the Ign circuit. Let me know if you don't have one and I'll stick one in the post for you!
Do you still have the Tilt Sensor???
What else? err err...

the 3 wire tip sensors are resistor ladders, i haven't got to it yet but i will be removing mine soon, basically i wire is ground, one is supply
from ecu and one is return to ecu
you need to resistors, one from supply to return then another from return to ground, the to ground has to be higher that the first but you need to use
correct ratios to prevent ecu going up in smoke, best thing is to measure it on the sensor then duplicate it with resistors.
Ive measured it. there is resistance across all three terminals. There seems to be a hall effect sensor and a megnet swinging above.
I think the best thing is to get the car running and then play around with it.
Thanks for the help
