Found this on the bay. It should fit but is a bit big. Is there anywhere i can take it to get it cut in half so i have more space in the rear? Obviously i cant do it for fear of exploding
Fill it with water before you cut it in half. the explosion risk is petrol fumes if the tank is full of something else it can't explode!
Caber
I cut and shut an elise tank, I ran the hose through it for ages, and made sure there was no petrol smell when I cut it. To cut it I used a long hack
saw, as it keeps temps down over a grinder. With this it's better to be asfe than sorry. That is the way I did it but is not a recommendation and
there are obvious risks involved. I also had a fire extinguisher to hand and wore cotton clothes.
When it was in pieces I left it open for a week so any fumes could evaporate, then washed it again , then tacked it together before final welding.
