Wiring a VAUXHALL X18XE X20XEV coil pack

Hello,

I have bought a vauxhall coil pack to repllace my burnt out one and the new coil pack has 4 pins. Any idea how I wire a 4 pin coil pack up to a MSnSE?

Know idea but the ford coil packs are alot more reliable, and easier to connect.

............eh???

Never popped a vauxhall one yet!!

obviously the 4 pins are, common live feed, two earths, one for each coil, and shield conenction for the wire shielding/suppression.

Which is which i unfortunately don't know!

This post got duplicated at the time and I was answered with a link to a website with clear instructions. In fact I was just having a bad time as my SVA was approaching and my mind was going blank at the slightest challenge. There was nothing wrong with the coil pack, I'd fried one of the coil drivers on my MSnSE ECU because I'd wired it up incorrectly. I was a total donut. However, I did eventually realise the error of my ways, fix the ECU, get the engine started and pass SVA. Amazingly, now that the pressure of SVA is over I seem to be able to think properly again.
