I had planned to tank mount my bike fuel pump and not use a return line, will a car inline pump with the same pressure work?

the bike pump is designed to work without a return and cope without fuel going through it continuously, but will a vauxhall one?

it's cheaper and easier to go inline rather than pay a fortune for a custom tank.

My 50 litre custom ali tank with outlet,return,overflow was £135...

Bike pumps that don't use a return line have the regulator built into them. I don't know of any fuel injected cars that don't use a return (for good reason), so you'd couldn't simply replace with a car fuel pump.

Agree - I'm guessing a bike pump has an inbuilt way of keeping a constant pressure....I.e stops pumping when up to pressure - A car pump most certainly wont do this - Bike pump also is used to having graivity on it's side as it's normally mounted under the fuel tank.....

Why not go for the tried and tested swirl pot set up - Running an extra fuel line under the car really is no hassle at all...
