On a Mondeo Estate diesel 2000reg,
do i need to fit a bypass relay to the trailer socket wiring on the towbar.

Not sure about MK2 but MK3 needs relay as wiwing very thin. Ask at local caravan centre then buy on line.

fairly sure the 2000 mondeo is fine without a relay.

AFAIK if the car has a bulb failure circuit then fit a relay.

Look on ebay to see what is supplied with a towbar.
