how can i get a spare key cut for my mondeo w reg without paying £75.00 as quoted by timpsons

That's not too bad. For the Renault the key cards are £120-150!!!!!

At the moment I'm risking it by just having one. I hope I never loose it otherwise I'm in trouble!! Hopefully Renault can supply one based upon the reg code rather than requiring a whole new ECU....

Get it cut somewhere else and get a plain key cut with no chip then just cable tie a chipped key up close to the transponder ring aroung the ignition barrel.

A local locksmith to us clones chipped keys. No car required just old usable key.

Get a blank off ebay and have it cut?

Are you talking a remote key or a standard?

We deal with a place called klck at work. The do a postage service which is next day and not a bad price. Laser cut and all that. Linky

I had one cut for my vw and didnt knwo the code. Emailed them a piccie of the blade, read the code and cut it to that. Worked perfect.
