Why is it that a very few on this Forum feel the need to pass a sarcastic comment when someone asks what they consider to be a silly question. We are not all blessed with infinate wisdom and this site is brilliant for helping those that need guidance or are not super computer litterate like some. Please, if you consider it stupid dont reply and show yourself up or if you know where the link is for a question asked, just post the link, dont pass a sarky comment. AND RELAX!!!!
SHUT IT !!
Ooo gossip! Who was it and what was said?
I have been known to make flippant comments now and again, when my self-control fails...
... I don't do sarcastic though (I hope no-one has thought so anyway! )

You haven't been on many forums then? This is a feature of any forum you go to regardless of the subject. Just take the good with the bad and
ignore anything that doesn't help you.
Incidentally, if someone asks a question that has been asked many times before then a sarcastic comment is likely to come their way as it is clear
they didn't bother to try to search themselves before asking someone else to do a search for them.
Sometimes sarcasm is called for.
I always found the silly comments one of the good things about this place.
No-one takes themselves too seriously, everyone's fair game for an occasional harmless jab.
Of course, it's often best to do a search before asking questions anyway, you might not get the exact specific advice you need, but 90% of the
time, it'll be close enough, and you'll have a decent basis for getting your question answered if you've already got most of it worked
out yourself.
Sigh.
Staple Balls its been 4 bloody years, where did you come from?!
Personally I like a bit of sarcastic abuse - reminds me of the Mrs and gives a warm feeling.....
Wind yer neck in.
If you didnt want public treatment, dont post on public forums!!

I think there's a difference between friendly banter and just being rude to someone, in my opinion its best to be nice and helpful then let the
banter flow when you know someone a bit.
Or, if you think someone's a c*nt then ignore them or u2u them, it's funny what people will write when they aren't standing
face-to-face with someone!
I know its common for people to insult and aggrevate each other on forums but it doesn't seem to happen too much on here, and I think thats why
its a good site.
Thats my 2 cents! Now I can sit back and wait for all the u2u's to come in from people that think I'm a c*nt!
To the Op, it could be worse, you could be called Drew instead of mike?
EDIT to say I just spotted its POCOCK... which makes my joke a bit ridiculous.
if only your first name was Drew and second was Peacock... but thats just dumb.
Hohum... I think I need a sleep.

I think in the site should get a special section for jokes, might calm people down a bit? Here's one I got earlier;
Michael Jackson is going on tour and has just announced his UK dates. They are Josh age 5, Kyle age 4, Harry age 5, Callum age 6 and Andrew Age 4.
p.s. McLannahan wins the prize for first to u2u me......
we have a section for jokes, its called the 'MAD HOUSE' its under the 'ANYTHING ELSE' section duh!
I thought it was called, Having a sense of humour, well most of the time anyway.

Like every thing in life... just take it all with a pinch of salt.....
and take that pinch of salt and ram it in their eye........
Ooer, did i take things on a step from banter..... too far????? LOL
Cheers
Fin (yes thats 'cool'
Banter is good - Insults bad!
Honestly, its simple common sense really!
I often find when i start to get bothered about unrelated comments its cos my bullsh1t filters are starting to get blocked. A quick 1,500 post service
and all is well again. Blocked filters prevent internal vapours being released and increases internal pressures, its dangerous to leave them too long
as one can blow a seal.
Having said that when a serious post is written its nice to get factual replies. Personally i dont see whats wrong with suggesting that someone does a
search though if the reply poster knows there is some good info that could solve the problem.
Bit off topic but ... god sir name myke (same as mine)
<tongue in cheek>
Strictly speaking this rant should have been posted in "mad house", "anything else" is supposed to be car related discussions
</tongue in cheek>
