For a garden decking project im looking for some hinges that ive seen before on wooden loft ladders. Like these:

The only sites I can find them on only refer to them as loft ladder hinges and want lots of money.
Do these have another name I can search for before in investigate other types and dispense with my hope to keep them concealed. All my search ideas
have been fruitless.
Thanks!

Closest thing I can think to look for would be a trestle joint hinge.
Or pivot hinge.
Might be worth a Google.

yes trestle hinge i believe
Note your point on difficulty finding them at a good price.
Could you not design around a more common field or garden gate hinge? Cheap and readily available from Screwfix or other DIY stores.
How about a paste table hinge?
They are called butterfly hinges.
