If its parts for sale it's "New Old Stock" ie old but brand new items.

Alternatively in the tuning arena, Nitrous Oxide System

NOS is nitrous oxide but IIRC "NOS" is the actual brand name.

Its generally 'New Old Stock' as in the part is new and not been on a car, but has been 'in stock' for a good few years...

Bugger! Am I right with it being a brand name though?

Yes you are, and it is nitrous oxide. Its just that in the context of the question i think the acronym refers to New Old stock.
