Megasquirt phase 1 complete!

Built the MS V3 box now, running MS1

For those MS Guru's out there, I plan on running fuel only, with the stock Honda ignition box to run the sparks (with feed from negative on coil pack to trigger MS).

In building the MS choices made to:
1.Leave out the VR circuit components, Hall components installed for triggering off coil negative (plan to use this to let MS Know ignition timing).
2.Leave out the hi current ignition driver circuit.
3. S12C to JS9 jumper (as MS1) not installed.

Tested and passed at every stage, plugged into the laptop and stim last night, injector LED's, Fuel Pump LED, Warm Up LED & acceleration enrichment LED all worked, along with the variables on the stimulator changing the dials on megatune when adjusted.

Pics below, anyone see any problems with what i have done or what i'm doing?

I run by 'ex' carbed blade engine on MS1, sparks from the engines own setup and it works a treat.

It did take a while to sort out the RPM signal, I used the rev counter lead and had to play around with links on the board link until it was stable.

Regards Mark

Hi Mark,

Interesting, as my engine is an ex carb blackbird (now has blackbird bodies) so it should be a similar set up to yours.

A few questions if you dont mind...
1. Where did you take the tach signal from? coil pack or from the ignition box?
2. Did you do the mods on your link, diodes & resister.
3.where are your bodies & injectors from?
4. did you have do do anything else special to the ms1?
5. Any other advice you can offer?

Cheers

Ash.
