General daft fueling questions
Hi,
further to earlier post ref where to run fuel pipes etc..
The local SVA man said he had no issues with
running the pipes straight up the middle
of the transmission tunnel floor as long as it was secure.
Is there really enough flex in the floor to
cause the copper pipes to become brittle?
While there appears to be no flex in the 1" box
of the chassis that the floor is attached to not more than 2 " away?
How can one bend and the other not?
Also any pictures of fuel pumps, type and where mounted? (2.0L zetec with TBs)
I read the 2L Vauxhall works ok?
Also a few tips on where to bring the fuel
lines up and into the engine bay.
Where to make the change to rubber hose?
I was thinking on the passenger footwell bulkhead?
Running the rubber up and over to the fueling side.
Sound OK?
Cheers

Not sure this is quite the right part of the forum for this question but what the hell!
Who says the chassis flexes enough to cause the pipes to become brittle? I've never heard of that. Loads of people use copper pipe, held to the
chassis with 'P' clips or with proper OEM fuel clips if you want to look super professional!
I ended my fuel pipes on the 'G' rail. Opposite the middle of the block. Then ran a rubber hose up to the pump. (you'll want to go
straight to the fuel rail/filter I guess).
Hope that helps,
James

if you are that concious about the pipes becoming brittle why dont you just use braided fuel pipes instead?
