Autotune

how does autotune work in MS? is a chase of turning it on and going for a drive and the MS with tune the car as you drive?

Yes I tried auto tune and found it not to be of much use.It is set up to only work over a small band of loads etc and needs the INI file in megatune editing to work over a usefull range.I used megalog viewer with a narrow band and found it works quite well even with just a narrow band if you also manuallly confirm the resulting figures.

Yep agree with Rob.....The idea is great but in reality, it's soo much better to get a good base map and not rely on the auto tune....

I found the base afr map was not suited to my engine......Great if you know exactly where you want a given AFR, but mapping with a wide band is much better.

Another vote for megatune here. Works very well indeed, probably done 15 runs with mine now and its getting very close....
