Cheaper alternatives to a Power Commander?
I can't really afford £200+ for a Power Commander for my '03 R1 engine, and was wandering whether there were any competitors making a
similar product for a lower price?
(Obviously, one option is to get hold of a 2nd hand Power Commander, but there must be someone else producing something that does the same thing?)

I'd stick to the power commander if I was you,if you get it mapped on a rolling road the mapping hardware links direct to your power commander
making the whole process a lot quicker and cheaper. Ebay is a good source for secondhand power commanders although you might have to wait for the
correct one to come up.

alot of people in bike forums rave about techlusion tfi, I believe there are just 3 fuel sdjustment knobs low mid and high, that you can tweak with a
screw driver. Great for sva, suposed to be very quick to map with on rollers with a wide band lamda reader. never touched one myself

If you take your time, you can generally get them on ebay for less than £100 - I got mine for £85. Just bid on every one that you see and set an upper
limit of £90 or so, you'll eventually get one.

Sounds like a good strategy, I won't be needing one for a while so I'll bide my time on ebay and try to get a cheap one!

I had a Techlusion on my car when I bought it, binned it off for a Power Commander as you've got so much more control.
The Techlusions aren't any cheaper but are easy to setup for people who don't like computers but do have screwdrivers.
