Where to find Pierburg parts in the NW area or can you help?

Now please don't laugh at this.

At the beginning of the month I put my car on a rolling road to see how the CVH was doing. As it came off the donor.

The results are here:

Hit the button to fast there, still typing!

At 4300 rpm the engine starts to lean out and consequently loss power, rather rapidly.

Now this is stock Pierburg as with the 1.8 CVH

I had assumed I was running out of fuel in a float chamber, but now quite convinced with new fuel pump, & push rod etc. and checks on fuel pressure before and after, it was not the case.

I had also read the chart showing that the jets in the carb were OK. Why would they not be ?

But I have removed the normal Pan filter and used a pipercross that will be a lot less restrictive. So I am wondering if the leaning out is happening on opening of the secondary chamber, and as there is now a lot less air flow restriction I should go for a larger secondary jet.

So need to try a few sizes above the normal 105.

Now the OHC could have a Pierburg and that had a 107.5 and 130 sizes, for main and secondary, where as the CVH was 100 and 105. so both would be a step up.

Looking at the chart can anyone suggest another fault and no I am not considering a Weber or bike carbs replacement yet

Adrian

Must take more time to type

Even if anyone knows what size the holes are in the jets perhaps I could drill out a smaller jet?

Why do I have to make the tools to finish the job? More time then money.
