Injection advice
I'm thinking of fuel injecting the 4.2 straight six engine in my e type.
I could use itb's or jenveys, but was thinking a bit more locost.
If I used a manifold like the one in the picture, drilled and welded injector inlets to each runner, then used two, preferably 3 if I can get a triple
carb manifold, Focus / Mondeo throttle bodies, would it work / be worth it?
I know some clever stuff has been done on here with injection, so any advice welcome.

Couldn't you just lift the whole injection system off a XJ6 or similar, would save £££'s and hours of tribulations
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Yes I thought about that, but this is the old XK engine, not sure the later straight 6 manifolds woild fit.

2 sets of gsxr600 TB's (maybe £60 a set) would bolt up nicely and cost a lot lot lot less than Jenveys. You'd have to respace, but that
isn't difficult, and then make up a fuel rail (also easy, although the rail might cost £30).
This will look awesome.

Mk III version of the original JX6 had a fuel injected XK engine, I think it used the Lucas "Hotwire" system which I know can work very
well. From experience of that system on Rover models I know the ECU for that system was self contained a separated from inputs from the cars
electrical system, so it should be possible to transplant it and the electronic ignition.

Boggle could make up plates to match the manifold and the head, you would just need to weld the connecting tubes.

Late 4.2 had Lucas flappy box EFI, not an issue as you lose the flappy bit and megasquirt.
Or make up a manifold the two sets of triumph triple TB's is the way to go as they are super cheap and sized for a 900cc bike engine.

Good thought on using triples I assume they are respaceable.
A problem with gsxr600 is that the tps is on the opposite end to the cable control. You can get a bit of wind-up through all the linkages even with 4
TB's so with 6 it would only be worse.
I guess the problem with triples is that you need some kind of splitting of the cable control.
Lots of options
