megasquirt zetec constants
Has anyone got a screen shot of the engine constants for a zetec (standard 2.0 injectors).
I can get it idling (rough) but no matter what fuel settings i use its way too rich.
Ive probably just got an injector setting wrong somewhere, but im new to all this, so learning as i go.
Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
Dave.

Are you running standard inlet, throttle body and iscv? If so i've got a pretty good map to get you going

Thanks for the quick replys! I'll check out the link when i get in from work tonight.
The engine has gsxr throttle bodies with standard 2.0 zetec injectors.
Cheers

those are megajolt maps on that link.
step 1 use the logger and try and record the behaviour then open it up in magalog viewer an see if you are getting any sync loss
or random fluctuations on a signal. if that is ok move on to the next bit.
first you want need to make sure your required fuel value is correct as all the pulse width calcs etc are done from this. if you get the part numbers
off your injectors i will find the settings for you.
check that the control algorithm is ITB you need it on this if you have throttle bodies as the map sensor cant cope at high rpm on tb's
im guessing it is starting ok so leave priming pulse and cranking pulse width alone
Im guessing you have no idle valve so your best way of controlling revs at idle is idle advance. you need to configure it so that the more load there
is on the engine the more advance you get.
the way i do it is at low load i set the advance to around 10deg but give it little bit more fuel than it actually needs. when the load on the engine
increases e.g fan/alternator the timing will advance to cope with the extra load and the fuel is already there so you don't get the scenario
where it feels like it is going to stall.
see how you you get on with that and post your log file up if you cant get it to improve

Anyone know a website i can upload my log file to to share on here?
My spark angle is all over the place, could that be causing the rich unstable running?
