megasquirt fuel pump wiring

Evening all,

I've started stripping the 7 I bought a couple of months ago to tidy things up and sort things out. I've started to strip the wiring out and I started with the engine loom. The car is running a 2.0l zetec silvertop with megasquirt 1 V3. I've managed to trace all of the cables to sensors around the engine and disconnected them, I now have the engine side of the loom completely out of the car.

I'm a bit confused though. I've got a relay to the 12V+ supply to the ECU, which I've removed with the loom, but I'm confused as to where and how the fuel pump is wired up? I've got a single cable coming from the 37pin MS plug, but I'm sure it was running to another relay.

Can anyone help??? PLEASE!!!!

Thanks in advance,

Chris

The diagram here should help Link

Pin 37 grounds and engergises the relay, on switch on, then only when the engine is running.

Ok I've had a read and looked at the wiring diagrams.

So literally all I need is a relay from ignition to the fuel pump with a live feed in and the single cable to the MS unit itself?

I bought the car with this system already installed, so please be gentle with me.

Thanks again.

Chris

remember the fuel pump output on the ms is ground switching. basically you put a live to one side of the relay coil then the negative side of the relay coil goes to the ms.
