Hang on - I thought the tuning software for Megasquirt was FREE!??

I have just received my MS2 V3.0 Megasquirt bits from the USA and started the assembly.

On inital research i thought it was all free.

So do i not use Megatune now? Is it only TunerStudio which costs $60!

This is becoming less and less locost

You dont need to buy TunerStudio, there is a free version.

You only need to pay for the auto tune feature and data logger

When I first installed tunerstudio all the features where there including autotune which I found was fantastic.. then halfway through it vanished and starting asking for money!

Apparently the Autotune shouldnt be relied apon, so i'm not sure if its worth having anyway.

The guy behind it (Phil Tobin) gave up his day job to work on it, don't begrudge him food You get paid for your job don't you? Megatune should still work (dependent upon which firmware you load onto it), I know it doesn't work with the MS3 firmwares. There is also Megatunix as well.

Regards,
Dave

its the only software that works with the newest msextra firmwares.

its way better than the orignal software and is constently updated thats why its become the software of chioce
its free to download and use and if you wish to upgrade to have autotune thats up to you

i paid for the upgrade as its going to save me its cost when it come to rolling road time and the amount of work that has gone in i think the guy needs a pat on the back for all his hard work

you dont like it dont use it
