Stupid question time part 2, tps wiring...

Hi all,

Back again!!!

Does anyone know, or know where I can find out the pin allocations for a BMW E46 M3 throttle position sensor?

Here's a couple of pictures...

Virtually all the tps you will encounter have the same pin allocation. This utube video on tps is worth watching

If you ue a multimeter to test attach one lead to the center connection and the other to either of the remaining terminals then open the throttle the signal to live resistance should drop and the earth to live should rise IIRC Have a look at Emerald ECUs website if you have any problems
