Air Temp Sensor location
Been tidying the x XJ6 throttle body up, blanking holes I don't need etc...
One of the plugs I've fitted, which is on the air filter side of the butterfly would seem a good spot for the air temp sensor.
They are usually in the airbox I know, but in this setup I don't have room for a box, can anyone see an issue with it being in the inlet flow
like this:

That's a good place for it - it's about the same place that Mazda put the Air Temp' sensor on my 1.6 MX-5 engine.

Should be OK major manufacturers usually put in the main body of the manifold or in one of the runners to an inlet port.

Only ever seen it in runners or plenum on turbocharged cars, for obvious reasons. On naturally aspirated they seem to always be much further away from
the throttle, in the intake text or airbox . I think this is because it's really easy to get heat soak effects when it's too close to the
head and it's not representative of the incoming air mass then. On an NA car I'd always mount it nearer the airbox than the throttle.
Just to note, this isn't go directly contrary to bt, it's just that I've wasted literally days trying to fix drivability issues due
to heatsoak in my tintop, I've switched to super fast response sensors, insulated mount brackets, removed manifold coolant feeds, you name it -
low speeds and round town suffers when the radiation effect of the plenum overrides the convective effects near idle.
