When i start my car when ho,t it hunts badly till the wide-band has finished calibrating. As soon as wide-band reads the afr numbers car ticks over lovely.

Hi there

Do you have closed loop on your lambda at idle?

Also check your MAT, what temperature are you showing as there may be heat soak happening which will lean your mixture.

Cheers

Ian

Also check your ASE Taper, or try a few seconds steady enrich before tapering off.

Does this happen if you restart your hot engine straightaway, or only if left a while before the restart?
My car was running lean on hot restarts as mentioned above. There is a table that can be used to apply a correction according to MAT reading to combat heatsoak problems.
As mentioned above you might be better off not using EGO correction at tickover, if you are indeed using it .
Get onto the MS forums and checkout heatsoak restarts. You are not alone!

Pretty sure its heat soak as if i re start straight away its fine, leave for over 5 mins and it hunts. Will check on air manifold temp to see what is happening tomorrow, thanks for putting me on the right path chaps. Kev

Have a look where your MAT sensor is as well.

Mine is in the air box but I still get some heat soak, I'm thinking about mouting it in the engine bay.

Cheers

Ian
