021906262B should fit the bill for a genuine vw sensor, they have rolled multiple part numbers into 1 replacement number.

Bosch 0258007351 should cross reference to the above.

Afaik the techedge isn't picky on replacement sensors, however the above do not work with an lc-1 - I may have a new one knocking about for this reason, i'll have a look later & let you know.

as far as i can tell as long as its a lsu4.2 and has the same plug and pun out it will be fine (after auto cal) the 2j2+2j9 can take either a lsu4.2 or 4.9 but my 2j1 only works with 5 wire lsu4.2 sensors with the 6 pin D shape conector

is ther any way to tel what series of windband it is from thje bosch pt. no.?

I've had a look, it is the 0258007057 version vw p/n: 021906262B.
It has been fitted and ran for 2-3 mins only and has sat in a bag since.
I may be able to drop the sensor over at some point this week if you want it.
Pm me if this suits you.

It seems like the Australian numbers insert an extra 7 into the part number
Bosch say 0258007057 is a good number for a lsu4.21 (vag) and 0258007200 is a lsu4.23 GM part

I'm surprised that OE cars use wideband sensors, are you sure those part numbers are not narrow band?

Loads of modern cars use Widebands that's how they conform to emissions regs.

Some manufacturers have been using them on normal everyday cars for 15years now it's how the motorsport and aftermarket tuning market managed to use them at a reasonable cost because of mass production

As the design life is 160000km for the early models you can even get hold of them through the OEM market now .
